From the same flagship Kirkniemi mill in Finland that produces Sappi’s best-in-class range of Galerie and Magno Web coated publication papers, Galerie Book is the new premium mechanical uncoated paper book publishers have been waiting for.

Extensively tested during successful printer trials, Sappi’s new paper is everything even the most demanding customer would require in a traditional book paper for fiction and non-fiction – and from a trusted, reliable print partner with an unrivalled, on-the-ground European sales network.

A sustainable, reliable new option

Optimised for offset, digital inkjet, coldset and heatset printing – and available in a range of grammages and bulks – Galerie Book is produced at the largest coated publication paper mill in the world at Kirkniemi.

It’s here that Sappi has demonstrated its ongoing commitment both to the future of graphic papers and to turning the page on sustainability – with investments of €80 million-plus slashing the mill’s direct greenhouse gas emissions by 90% and turning it into a model of zero-waste, sustainable production.

“Book publishers have been seeking greater supply chain resilience and more options in the book paper segment. With the development of Galerie Book as part of our Galerie brand family, we're providing publishers with a credible alternative that matches the technical specifications demanded by the market while delivering the sustainability performance they require.”

Joonas Järvinen, Head of Sales
